KOMI Extensions was created by Stella DiGiovanni after years behind the chair watching the professional extension industry change. Brands grew, companies changed hands, and too often the focus seemed to move further away from the stylists actually using the hair every day. Quality became less consistent, support felt more transactional, and loyalty wasn’t always rewarded in a meaningful way.
After 18+ years in the industry, more than a decade specializing in extensions, and years spent educating other stylists, Stella knew she wanted to build something different: a professional hair company that stayed connected to real salon work and gave back to the people supporting it.
KOMI was built around more than great hair. It was built around partnership. That means rewarding loyalty, offering education that actually helps stylists grow, providing color and business support, creating flexible ordering options, and continuing to listen to what working professionals need behind the chair.
Education has always been a huge part of Stella’s career, so it was important that KOMI didn’t just sell a product and disappear. The goal was to create a brand that helps stylists use the product better, serve their clients better, and build stronger businesses along the way. Every decision comes back to one question: how can KOMI make life better for the stylist using it?
